Meeting Title: "Unsung Heroes: Project Management making a difference in Non-Profit"
Location:
Arrowhead Country Club Clubhouse
50 Ocala Dr, Montgomery, AL 36117
Meal: Buffet
Registration: $25
Topic: Lessons Learned Leading Projects and Teams in Non-Profit.
Abstract: In business and government, projects drive innovation, renovation, modernization and just about everything in-between. Project Management plays an essential role in guiding these projects to success, making sure stakeholder investments continue to drive industry and service forward. But theses aren't the only places where projects and project management are making an impact.
While most project management professionals spend their days leading teams while balancing Scopes, Schedules, and budgets, in the world of non-profit, many others manage vast projects leading only volunteers, balancing Scope and schedule but with little or even no budget at all. In this world of projects, Vision is everything and the currency is passion and leadership. This month's meeting will feature one such of our Montgomery area non-profit leaders and an opportunity to discuss some lessons learned on successfully motivating team members and stakeholders by tapping into shared vision and values.
Speaker: Rea Cord, Executive Director, Humane Society of Elmore County.
