Dinner Meeting (July 9, 2020)
Topic: Inclusivity and why it’s not ok to just be “tolerant”.
This presentation will provide tools, resources, and ideas to assist project managers in ensuring their team members feel included and engaged. There is a focus on diversity in the workplace and how Project Managers as leaders can capitalize the differences among them and make for a stronger team with improved collaboration.
Stephanie Stepney, M.A., CPM
BIO:
Mrs. Stephanie Stepney has over 15 years of project management experience in the healthcare, technology, and financial/banking sectors and nearly a decade of experience providing training and workforce development support to government healthcare entities. Mrs. Stepney has a knack for resolving team conflict and getting teams thru the storming phase. She is a natural leader who has the gift of identifying each staff member’s primary talents and bringing out the best in each one. Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s degree from University of Washington and graduated with a major in Psychology and minor in Human Rights. She earned her Masters of Organizational Leadership from Chapman University and holds a Certified Public Manager credential. Stephanie attended Walden University studying Organizational Psychology but due to life events stopped at PhD, ABD. She is currently pursuing PMP and PMI-ACP certification.
Mrs. Stepney serves as a councilwoman for the Town of Eclectic and is also affiliated with numerous community organizations. She comes from the city but is a country girl at heart. Stephanie moved to Alabama when she got married 6 years ago and they have a blended family including 3 children. Mrs. Stepney is currently raising chickens and has 5 pygmy goats. She is hoping to convince her husband to get a llama next.
